Exploring Downtown Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island, Florida

#ameliaisland #fernandinabeach #floridavacation
Welcome to Fernandina Seaside on Amelia Island, Florida! Throughout our week exploring the USA’s lowcountry area, we stopped in to go to Fernandina Seaside on Amelia Island in Florida. This quaint, historic small city was the proper place to spend a number of days. Whereas we may have stayed loads longer, our time there was crammed with stunning walks down Spanish mosh coated streets, recent seafood, and even beer at a brand new native brewery. We extremely suggest visiting Fernandina Seaside if you happen to get the prospect! Plan to spend a number of days right here so that you get an opportunity to expertise the seashores, historical past, and good meals. 🙂

  • I'm a long time resident of Fernandina Beach. And I guarantee you we here on the island are sick of you people coming here. If it's between the months of October and January and your license plate does not read Nassau county Florida please go back where you came from. We are fine having tourists but not all year long, give us a break.

  • I haven’t been to Florida beaches but I was thinking Anna Marie island or Amelia which one do you think is the best or any other recommendations

  • My grandparents had a 3 story house on fernandina beach. Loved my summers back then. Trampoline parks. Water slides. Jellyfish stings.. The good OLD days.

  • You should come up to Lancaster, PA! We are known as Amish country but most people don’t know we have tons of small brewery, art galleries, coffee shops and a fun outdoor activities! We actually get printed in The NY Times because of our restaurant scene! We are also near hershey, Pa

  • My Home Town! Did you check out Fantastic Fudge? That is our go to place, also there is an AMAZING bookstore my daughter loves to go to

  • Thanks for the video! I just watched your video on Cumberland Island that I found when trying to determine where I could see wild horses and now I'm seeing this one on Amelia Island. We're driving to Neptune Beach, FL for a wedding in a few months and I'm scouting for places to stop on our drive from the Upstate SC. We've been to Charleston, Beaufort, Hilton Head and Savannah, so these areas we haven't seen before are attractive to us and your videos were really helpful.

  • During the 7 flags shrimp festival the city is extremely busy and the food is great. Hopefully next spring it will return. You should come back then.

  • Really enjoyed watching you both
I’ll be visiting Amelia Island in a few months with another couple

  • Lake Lure in SC
    Dirty Dancing was filmed there
I live in Easley if you guys come this way stop by fir a glass of sweet tree and my homemade crab cakes

  • Is exploding will not be small for long the population is exploding the Gator's place is really good…. Love the beach the water is so clear

  • So glad you enjoyed your visit! Amelia Island has been my home for the past 36 years. It’s charming and beautiful here. You definitely hit some favorite hotspots!

  • I grew up in FB. Many years ago while out skateboarding with my friends downtown we got busted taking quarters for Coke machines from that fountain at 10:15… oh the memories!

  • You should check out Cheraw, SC! hometown of Dizzy Gillespie, and just a beautiful small town of history.

Also, the Patriot was filmed in my backyard at Brattonsville (which is between Chester and York SC)! York has amazing small stores and the storefronts are super cute. And the Garden Cafe. Don't get me started.

This is all about an hour outside of Charlotte, which has amazing whitewater, and great mountain biking.

  • I’ve got a great town for you to showcase: Annapolis, Maryland. Lots of history, charm, sailboats and seafood. The US Naval Academy is located there, too. Love it!

  • I'm from Vicksburg, MS. It's right along the Mississippi River and is the site of a big Civil War siege so there's a national park there. It's close to the Natchez Trace and has lots of history being right along the river. Catfish is well known there and there's lots of cool art and a fun downtown area thats really been revitalized since my time there (shameless plug for my mom's bookstore, Lorelei Books). Lots of new fun restaurants but you still get to see old beautiful houses around downtown too. If you ever make it there, I'm happy to give recommendations!

  • That's where I just went for the first time in March! I'm loving traveling with y'all!

  • We definitely love this town! Tons of wonderful things to enjoy and the locals are so nice.

  • Jekyll Island is my all time favorite place of anywhere. Georgia seaturtle center, driftwood beach. I love that you have to pay to get on the island; keeps it uncrowded and peaceful.

  • The Green Anole you saw, which is commonly called the American C (which it is not of the family), can change colors to Brown & Grey.
