Surfer [The Bar]

By: Erika Wright

A true original, born from the legendary Surfer magazine. Surfer [The Bar] was created from the ground up to reflect the Jacksonville Beach surf scene and the essense of Surfer the Magazine, from the award winning photography, to film screenings and interviews with living legends. Whether you just want to chill on a whatever day after work or hang out with your crew after a heavy session on your board, this is the place to grab a bite to eat and a mixed drink or beer.

Surfers [the Bar], is an epic hang out for sure. The atmosphere is very open with 2 floors and an upper level deck area overlooking the corner of the block where Surfer [The Bar] is located and also has a patio area downstairs. With a fully stocked bar on both floors, this is definitely the bar to hang out at and watch the game or just chill breathing in all that ocean air with friends and family. The staff are very kind and helpful, always ready to mix and serve.

They do have a food truck downstairs that has some killer flavor combinations including some basic everyday eats like chips and salsa, guacamole, and nachos. They also have tasty rice and noodle dinner bowls, a Ramen burrito and don’t forget the tacos: chicken, fish, short rib and shrimp. Though it is a bar, the groms have a mini menu too with a quesadilla and both shrimp and fish tacos. Drinks are readily available at ether bar or the food truck.
